Christians: do you go to church just for...?

I think my co workers and family members are going for the socializing. I often think they would not have many or any friends out side of their church. My sister and mother go to a southern baptist church with TERRIBLE hell fire music, so it is not for that kind of entertainment. I am pretty sure they have to be nice to each other at all of those functions. Not one person has invited my single mother sister or divorcee mother to their homes for dinner after all these years...so my guess is that church is kind of a forced socializing...
