Song about overcoming the odds?

My boyfriend and I are looking for our song. we fell in love quickly, but theres a lot against us. He has a 3 year old daughter and it seems everyone has their own opinion on the subject on both sides. We know this will work, despite the odds. Was looking into Leona lewis bleeding love, or Shania's youre still the one. Except we like a little more rock then that :) Thanks!
